Carrier To Provide 'Smart' Thermostats

FARMINGTON - Carrier Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: UTX) announced that its Carrier Electronics division will provide a “Home Comfort Control System” to Puget Sound Energy as part of a pilot program for residential customers. The system will allow automatic adjustment of temperature in a home in order to reduce the demand for energy and enable customers to control their home thermostats via a secure Internet site.
