Landstar Earns Kudos from Forbes

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - In its January 10 issue, Forbes magazine rated Landstar System Inc. (NASDAQ: LSTR) one of the 15 top companies in the travel/transport category of Forbes' Platinum 400 list of “America's Best Big Companies.” For a company to be so named it must achieve a high return on capital and sales growth as well as growth in net income and cash flow per share over the past five years. Companies are also compared to others in the industry, which for Landstar include airlines, railroads, shipping and trucking.
