Derek Simpson specializes in custom-made jewelry and design. Approximately 90 percent of the jewelry was designed by Simpson himself, a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, and created on the premises. The shop carries sterling silver jewelry and gold set with precious stones in prices ranging from $20 to $10,000 - with plenty in between.
Sterling silver baby items such as picture frames and cups occupy one display case. If you're looking for the unusual, a textured gold unit necklace interspersed with cabochon tourmalines in several colors can be yours for $3,500. Or perhaps an amethyst drop on a distinctive chain, for $1,500. Simpson also carries pearls and several makes of fine wristwatches.
