NEW HAVEN - The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp will be part of a Paul Mitchell Professional Salon Products 60-second public-service announcement that is airing on all video-equipped domestic flights of American Airlines, Delta Airlines and United Airlines during November and December. This is the first PSA of its type to be broadcast on the three largest U.S.-based air carriers. Since 1988, the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp has provided a camp experience for more 9,000 children ages seven to 15 with cancer and other serious blood diseases, free of charge. Video footage from the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is part of the PSA video. Says John Paul DeJoria, chairman and chief executive officer of John Paul Mitchell Systems, This PSA is about different ways of giving and how wonderful giving makes you feel. Paul Mitchell Professional Salon Products have been supporters of the camp; Mitchell's Connecticut salons, part of its Northeast region under Ellen Bobrow, have raised major funds for the camp over the last two years. We feel that DeJoria and John Paul Mitchell Systems exemplify the meaning of giving in the corporate philanthropic world, says Francine Harcourt Caplan, spokesperson for the camp.
