| MIDDLETOWN - The Connecticut River Valley & Shoreline Visitors Council was recently named a semifinalist in the 1999 Guide Awards contest conducted by the American Bus Association's Destinations magazine. The guide features a comprehensive listing and descriptions of group tour-friendly accommodations, restaurants, special events and outing facilities in the council's 20 towns. The guide offers descriptions of unique activities as well as itineraries that highlight the best the Connecticut River Valley and shoreline have to offer.
