CAPTAIN Law Enforcement System Used by 70 PDs

EAST HAVEN - NexGen Solutions, which makes and markets a family of police, fire and EMS software products, has formed an alliance with the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) to provide its law enforcement technology to users of the state's CAPTAIN mobile data communication system. Supported by CRCOG's Public Safety Council, the CAPTAIN technology was recently named the Connecticut standard. The system currently is used on 950 laptop computers, and used by more than 2,800 officers in some 70 police departments to link them to local, state and national criminal information files.
