Just a quick note to say how much I hope you're going to run a caption competition for the Bob Feather photograph on the cover of your "1999 Book of Facts" (BNH, July 18).
My favorite captions so far are:
1. "If this sample changes color, miss, I'll have to charge you with being drunk in charge of a canoe."
2. "Roger, do you always carry your drinking water in a lab flask?"
And finally:
3. "You're right! It is a piranha!"
