Blumenthal at Odds with DPUC

| HARTFORD - Attorney General Richard Blumenthal has issued a statement on the state Department of Public Utility Control's decision to allow SNET to suspend expansion of its cable TV service. "Any efforts to bring cable TV competition to Connecticut have been seriously undermined by the DPUC's decision allowing SNET to suspend expansion of its service," said Blumenthal. State utility regulators are clearly and simply allowing SNET to abandon Connecticut consumers and to break its promise of statewide cable service. This is a sad day for consumers who need and deserve true competition across the state to ensure the best pricing and quality service is available."
