| The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a variety of ads for free personal computers that have popped up on the Internet and in newspaper ads across the country. Examples include: buy three years of Internet service to get a refurbished PC, buy a package deal consisting of PC and peripherals, or register with a marketing company for the chance to get a free PC. Although there are some legitimate offers, there are also some scams. The BBB advises consumers to do some research to decide which offers are legitimate. Find out exactly what the offer includes, the requirements for participation, the total cost, restrictions and requirements, and service and support.
