Clinton Stop & Shop Gets People’s

CLINTON - People's Bank has brought the convenience of seven-day full-service banking to Clinton by opening its newest office. The newly remodeled Clinton Super Stop & Shop at 215 East Main Street becomes the latest Super Stop & Shop to house a People's Bank branch. “We recognize that for many customers, 'banker's hours' no longer fit their busy schedules,” says Robert R. D'Amore, People's executive vice president for marketing and regional banking. “We've built and staffed our supermarket branches to provide all services - and the level of service that our customers expect from our traditional branches.”
People's pioneered supermarket banking tin Connecticut in 1980 when it opened a branch in Grand Union of Westport. People's later entered an exclusive partnership with Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. that has resulted in a total of 57 branches in Connecticut Stop & Shop stores, with additional branches scheduled to open in stores in New Milford and Branford later this year.
