Anthem Honored for Ads

Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Connecticut received four honors in the Health Care Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Health Care Marketing Report. Competing against other HMO/PPO plans from across the country, they were honored for work in member communications, television and radio, including awards for radio advertising/sales, television advertising/series, and special video production. Anthem earned a silver award for special programs for the BabySmart kit, an instructional video on caring for a new baby.

Pop-Up Polygon Promo Piece

Structural Graphics has created a new promotional piece for Pacific Communications and its client, Smith & Nephew. A pop-up polygon invitation was used as a direct mailer to promote the company's tissue engineered, human fibroblast-derived temporary skin substitute, TransCyte. The promotion, which was shipped flat in a custom envelope, was activated by a rubber-band when removed from its envelope, forming a 14 sided, three dimensional polygon featuring a repeated image of TransCyte as well as a promotional and technical copy about the product. Structural Graphics designs and produces three-dimensional interactive communications for advertising and promotion agencies and corporate marketers directly.

The Hope Alliance Adoption Center, a haven for homeless felines in Guilford, is partnering with Yankee Magazine's Community Partners program. Community Partners groups sell subscriptions to Yankee Magazine and Yankee's New England Church Supper Cookbook, earning 50 percent of the subscription cost. Hope Alliance hopes to raise $75,000 in order to purchase a no-kill shelter to replace its current quarters.
