"Pier’ Review Gives Thumbs-Up to Milford

MILFORD - Home-furnishings giant Pier 1 Imports will open a new, 13,000-square-foot store in the Turnpike Square Shopping Center later this month. The Texas retailer already has 18 locations in Connecticut, including stores in Hamden, Meriden, Branford and Old Saybrook. The Milford location is expected to employ upwards of 20 workers, the company said.
