| DANBURY - Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) is notifying its U.S. customers of price increases for bulk oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen. Helium prices will also be increased worldwide due to tightening supply and demand conditions combined with higher costs for refined liquid and crude gas. Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America, and one of the largest worldwide, with 2001 sales of $5.1 billion.
