STAMFORD - Two Stamford firms have made a deal worth $800 million. General Electric Capital Corp., whose parent is the General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) agreed to purchase Colonial Pacific Leasing Corp., the lease-financing operation of Pitney Bowes Corp. (NYSE: PBI). The transaction will allow GE Capital to provide lease financing using brokers and will expand its financing to construction and medical equipment. Pitney Bowes will continue to offer lease financing on its core products, including postage meters and other office equipment.
