NEW HAVEN - The United Illuminating Co. announced an agreement to sell two fossil-fuel plants to Wisvest Corp., a subsidiary of Wisconsin Energy Corp. The sale of the New Haven Harbor Station and Bridgeport Harbor Station is planned to close next spring, subject to approval by state and federal regulators. UI plans to use proceeds from the sale to pursue other growth opportunities. United Illuminating is a provider of electricity and services to more than 300,000 customers in the New Haven and Bridgeport areas.
