NEW HAVEN - Odell Stewart has been hired as director of the New Haven Business Connection. The organization was developed through a partnership between Empower New Haven Inc., the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, city of New Haven and the Greater New Haven Business & Professional Association.
The center will focus on underserved Empowerment Zone neighborhoods in New Haven, Hamden and West Haven. Neighborhoods will be supported with existing resources, namely business recruitment, business expansion, small business development, workforce development and economic development services within the inner city. Stewart will be responsible for the management and direction of the facility, coordinating business support and technical assistance for the growth and expansion of new or existing businesses.
