The Womens Business Development Center Starts Elm City Programs

The Women's Business Development Center of Stamford announced that it's expanding its service area to the Greater New Haven community with the launch of two programs in February 2002. The first, Entrepreneurship 101, a 3-hour workshop exploring the challenges and rewards of self-employment, will take place on February 7th. The second, FastTrac New Venture, is a 10-week program covering topics such as marketing, pricing, budgeting, cash flow and legal issues. The 10-week program starts February 21st. Julie Brander of Woodbridge has been named facilitator for New Haven programs and will work closely with WBDC volunteer instructors and counselors.
Women's Business Development Center is a nonprofit organization that was established to promote economic development through entrepreneurship. The WBDC is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Women's Business Ownership (OWBC) and the Office of Financial Assistance.
