STAMFORD, Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), announced that it is actively engaging in discussions with other marketers of computer-based postal products regarding the license of Pitney Bowes patents. Pitney Bowes holds a wide variety of U.S. patents that relate to fundamental PC metering technologies. Recently the US Post Office has authorized an Internet postage metering system.
