SHELTON - SAI Systems International Inc. has returned to the roster of India Abroad Ventures International's Top 100 privately held U.S.-based companies owned by Indian-Americans. For 2001, SAI Systems ranked No. 68 on the list, up from No. 72 in 2000.
SAI Systems delivers IT services and products to the banking, brokerage, telecom and public-safety industries. Headed by President Ramesh Wadhwani, SAI is a three-time honoree of the Connecticut Technology Council's Fast 50 roster of the fastest-growing Connecticut technology firms.
To qualify for the India Abroad Ventures designation a company must be privately held and independent, have been in business for at least the last five consecutive years, have achieved net sales of at least $1 million in the most recent fiscal year and be headed by a CEO, president of general partner who is of Asian-Indian origin and is a permanent resident or citizen of the U.S.
