NEW HAVEN - Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. of Des Moines, the world's leading supplier of agricultural genetics, announced that it will double its financial support for CuraGen Corp. from $2.5 million a year to a minimum of $5 million, expanding the five-year agreement that went into effect last year. Under the amended agreement, the two companies will continue to apply CuraGen's integrated GeneCalling process suite, including proprietary technologies and information systems, to discover genes for improving agricultural seed performance.
