NEW HAVEN - Pimosh (pronounced “PEE-mosh”) Tutoring Services is launching its Summer Tutorial & Enrichment Program (STEP). High school students with A grades in a particular who have been recommended by a teacher or guidance counselor are matched with students who are struggling to keep up with school work and/or who may be in danger of failing a class or repeating a grade.

The summer program will work with teachers to develop individual customized curricula that include a professional assessment of each student along with their Connecticut Mastery Test scores. The program runs for five weeks from July 8 to August 9. Sessions meet twice weekly in order not to interfere with conflicting summer camp programs. Tutoring is conducted in public libraries. The program costs $300 per student. To sponsor or register a child, call 203-562-8477, e-mail tutors@pimosh.net or visit www.pimoshtutors.com.
