Janet L. Fallon has been appointed vice president for academic affairs at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven. She previously served as a member of the faculty in the Department of Communications & Graphic Design at Marymount University in Arlington, Va., and chaired that department for 11 years. Fallon holds a B.A. from AMC, a master's in communication and a Ph.D. in communication with a minor in education administration from Ohio State University. Her early career included secondary school teaching at schools in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts and Ohio. She also served as an intelligence analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency and a systems analyst in the Federal Systems Group at TRW.

Imagistics International Inc. of Trumbull has announced the appointment at of Tina Aron as chief human resources officer. Previously serving as vice president of human resources for the Hartford, she has also held senior HR management positions at the Walden Book Co., Abraham & Strauss, Caldor and Macy's New York. Aron holds a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University.

Carolyn Mazure, professor of psychiatry and director of Women's Health Research at Yale, has been appointed associate dean for faculty affairs at the Yale School of Medicine. A member of the faculty since 1982, Mazure is an active researcher and has focused her work in depressive disorders. She is currently principal investigator for the NIH-funded Yale Interdisciplinary Women's Health Research Scholar Program in Women and Drug Abuse and core principal investigator for the Sex-Specific Factors core of the NIH-funded Transdisciplinary Tobacco Use Research Center.

Simione & Macca LLP, certified public accountants and business advisors, have named Julianne J. Cillespie a partner. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.S. degree in accounting, the CPA has been in the accounting field for 15 years. Her duties at the firm include performing and/or reviewing project cost audits, burden fringe and overhead audits, final payment audits and utility relocation project audits.

Hamden Mayor Carl Amento has announced the appointment of Curt Long as the town's new community development manager. Long, who holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Connecticut and a masters of education from the University of New Haven, previously served as assistant to the mayor/director of operations for the town. He served on the Hamden Legislative Council as the 6th District representative from 1997-99 and was re-elected to a second two-year term before accepting the position in the mayor's office. The community development program is part of the town's Economic & Community Development Department.

Diane F. Petra has joined Petra Real Estate Corp. of North Haven. She will specialize in tenant representation and relocation. Previously serving as real estate transaction manager for the Perrier Water Co., Petra has held a Connecticut brokers license for 14 years, working in the New Haven area prior to accepting her position with Perrier.

American Executive Limousine Service of Hamden has announced the appointment of Gail O'Keefe as vice president and treasurer. Employed at American Executive Limousine Service for six years, O'Keefe will oversee sales and marketing.

Podiatrist Alan Feldman of Stratford has joined the staff of the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center of Trumbull and Fairfield. Feldman, who earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, specializes in reconstructive foot surgery and the management of the diabetic foot. He completed his surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery at Kern Hospital in Michigan and is a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Feldman is a clinical instructor in the department of orthopedics at the Yale School of Medicine.

The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven has named Mary Jane Burt and Barbara L. Pearce directors. Burt, appointed by the Foundation's Trustees' Committee, and Pearce, appointed by the president of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, replace Richard E. Nelson and Humbert V. Sacco Jr., who completed their seven-year terms in December. Burt is a partner with the Laurel Group, communications and public affairs advisors. Pearce is president of H. Pearce Co., Realtors.

Susan Shaw Santoro of Press-Cuozzo Realtors has been presented with the Quarterly Achievement Award by the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors for the third consecutive quarter. The Hamden resident has been a Realtor for 16 years.

The Geenty Group, Realtors have named William N. Clark senior vice president Geenty, LLC. Clark has been with Geenty since its founding 16 years ago. He was honored in December by the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors' Commercial Investment Division for completing 82 sale and lease transactions during the year, resulting in an annual sales volume of just under $5 million.

Fletcher-Thompson Inc. of Bridgeport has appointed Robert J. Poletto chief mechanical engineer. Prior to joining Fletcher-Thompson, Poletto served as director of mechanical engineering for a New York A/E firm. He also worked as a principal engineer for the Kendall Co. and as a senior project engineer for Baxter Travenol and Lederle Laboratories.

Sean McDonnell, a tenant representative real estate broker for Fairfield and western New Haven counties, has been named senior associate at the commercial real estate firm of CB Richard Ellis. McDonnell, who has been with the firm since 1998, specializes in sales and lease transactions for the office and industrial market.
