Winning Concepts
Visual Concepts Media has been named a winner of the 1997 Connecticut Film and Video Competition by the state's Commission on the Arts and Connecticut Public Television. The competition honors a select group of state film and video producers.
Visual Concepts received its citation for Jonathan's Dream: A Dream Come True, a mini-documentary tracing the construction of Connecticut's first wheelchair-friendly playground. The program, scheduled to air on CPTV in November, was produced by Visual Concepts.
New Haven Merchants To Offer Cyber-Savings
New Haven Web, an Internet marketing and design firm, has announced a new online coupon service for local businesses. The CouponLink program allows area retailers to advertise their promotions on the World Wide Web through printable coupons for the Yale-New Haven community. Internet users search the CouponLink Web site by business or category, then print and redeem the coupons.
Elisabeth Mead, recently named director of New Haven Web's Internet sales and marketing, will coordinate Web site advertising activities for CouponLink, as well as for the All Things New Haven on the Web directory, which provides access to a growing number of local Web sites.
