Publicize your business by promoting your home town, with the help of a free media kit.
The kit was produced by the Council on Public Relations for Greater New Haven (CPR), a volunteer organization created in 1995 to capitalize on the Special Olympics World Games as an opportunity to build New Haven's reputation as a world-class city.
Inspired by a press kit produced by the Chattanooga (Tenn.) News Bureau, the CPR researched and wrote a set of fact sheets on all aspects of the Elm City, not only for the media but also for area publicists to beef up their own marketing programs and in-house publications.
The kit includes an overview and profile of Greater New Haven, a directory of media contacts, recent clips, and fact sheets on New Haven Firsts (inventions and innovations), sports and sporting venues, educational institutions, medical milestones, museums and arts organizations, architecture, neighborhoods, science/technology resources, and services and assistance for people with disabilities.
Updated before the International Festival of Arts & Ideas and underwritten by the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, the media kit is available through the chamber, (203-787-6735) or through Cheney & Co. (203-562-7719).
