Online Program Cues Up

QU Online, the distance-learning program at Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, will offer five new graduate courses this spring. Through its school of communications, QU Online will offer e-media classes including: “Web Publishing II,” which teaches advanced Web design and programming, animation techniques using Flash and Shockwave, plus Javascript, a client-side scripting language; “The Moving Image,” which covers the principles and practices of photography, editing, storytelling and non-narrative visual strategies for television, cable and Internet delivery, and “Interactive Authoring and Animation,” which surveys commercial projects, such as interactive corporate annual reports, public kiosks and Web-based materials. QU Online will also offer one e-course in botanical medicine and one in nursing. The program debuted in June 2001
