H. Pearce Co., Realtors has announced that Herbert Pearce, the company's founder and CEO, has been named one off ten winners of the 2000 Seton Elm and Ivy Awards. According to awards founders Fenmore R. and Phyllis Z. Seton, the honors are presented annually to members to the New Haven and/or Yale communities for outstanding contributions toward improved relations between New Haven and Yale. Pearce was honored for his business, civic and philanthropic contributions throughout greater New Haven. Says daughter Barbara Pearce, the company's president, “My father recognized early in his career the special relationship between Yale and the city of New Haven, and how good relationships between the two spark community activity and good will.”
