NEW HAVEN - Autotote Enterprises, which owns and operates the Connecticut Off-Track Betting System, recently opened a new RaceView Center on Brainard Road in Hartford. The facility replaces the OTB that was housed in the former Hartford Jai-Alai building, which closed its off-track betting operation April 14.

The 10,000-square-foot complex was partially opened May 1, just in time for the Kentucky Derby, as construction continued in other areas of the building. Autotote President John Ponzio said he expected the entire facility to be completed by June.

Autotote Enterprises, a subsidiary of Scientific Games Corp. (NASDAQ: SGMS), purchased the OTB system in 1993 for $20million.
