NEW HAVEN - Former BankBoston vice president Jill Marcus and Bruce Morris, previously a state senator and more recently state Commissioner of Public Works, have teamed up to form M&M Stony Creek LLC at 111 Whitney Avenue. The company is licensed by the state as a first and second commercial mortgage lender/broker. Our target market would be those that require commercial loans in excess of $350,000, are asset-worthy, but may not qualify for a loan from a financial institution, explains Marcus. The company offers private funding and specializes in strip mall and investment property financing. Marcus and Morris are hopeful that they have chosen a niche market that can be developed, and that there is a strong need for this level of financing. M&M Stony Creek will assist clients who may have credit blemishes or other issues, but who have sufficient assets to secure the loan - a different business model from traditional financing options.
