| HAMDEN - First Place USA, one of the state's oldest manufacturers of trophies, awards, stamps and signs, located at 1190 Dixwell Avenue, has been sold by Robert Norcia to Gutkin Enterprises of Hamden, Howard Gutkin, president. Norcia opted for semi-retirement, but will retain the button-manufacturing component of the business, to be operated from 56 Reniew Road. First Place USA will operate from the same location. Gutkin retained the three employees and has added a new staff person. Carol Gutkin, also an owner, is also active in the business.
