TRUMBULL - ESNI Inc. late last month filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after a joint-venture partner failed to meet loan commitments.
The company, previously known as E-Sync Networks Inc., found itself unable to meet unsecured debts after partner Charles River Consultants Inc. did not meet its commitments, accoprding to the ESNI filing. The partnership was formed in February to own E-Sync Networks LLC, which provides e-business products and services. The Trumbull company said it planned to reorganize and emerge from bankrupcty protection.
ESNI's largest shareholders are Commercial Electronics Capital Partnership of New York and Viventures, the venture-capital arm of multinational giant Vivendi Universal SA.
