HARTFORD - Connecticut Network (CT-N), the state's source for uncut and unedited television coverage of state government, has announced the launch of a new 24-hour channel on the Adelphi cable television system in the Norwich area.

This is the second recent channel launch for the network, which for the past three years has sought to “reconnect” Connecticut's citizens to state government.

“All citizens in this state have an inherent right to watch their state government in action and participate in the decisions that affect them,” said Paul Giguere, president and chief executive officer of CT-N's managing partner. “Technology now makes it possible for people to be involved in the governmental process.”

The initiative also gives additional access to business issues as they are being dealt with at the governmental level. The network operates as a partnership of Connecticut Public Affairs Network, Connecticut Public Television, the New England Cable Television Association, and the state's community colleges.

For particulars, visit CT-N's Web site at www.ct-n.com.
