NORWALK - Norwalk Community College is building a new Center for Information Technology. The 36,000-square-foot, $9.2 million facility will house computer classrooms, Internet teaching laboratories, video-conferencing rooms for distance learning, a Computer Aided Design (CAD) laboratory and faculty offices. Several smart classrooms will be outfitted withcomputers for each student networked for shared instruction and projection.
Construction has begun and project completion is slated for next spring. New Haven-based Svigals & Partners is the architect and designer.
