Branford Firm Wins Town Hall Job

NORTH BRANFORD - Encon Construction Inc. of Branford has been hired to convert the former Tilcon Minterals headquarters into a new North Branford Town Hall. The lowest of ten bidders, Encon contracted to perform the work, which is expected take about four months, for $505,500.
The town acquired the Tilcon site and 33 surrounding acres for $2.1 million. The building is about double the size of the present town hall on Foxon Road.
