Hospital Web Site Wins National Honors

DERBY - The Griffin Hospital Internet web site, www.griffinhealth.org was recently honored with two awards in the second annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards, which recognized the very best web sites for healthcare organizations, online health companies and pharmaceutical firms. Griffin's web site received the Platinum Award for the “Best Internet Site” for a hospital under 200 beds and the Gold Award for the “Best Health/Health Care Content.”
The hospital web site offers a wide variety of educational and interactive tools. The new Digestive Disorders Center site offers a comprehensive listing of information on disorders ranging from hemorrhoids to colon cancer. Cradle Views, a service where new parents in the Griffin Childbirth Center can have pictures of their newborns posted on the web site just after birth, continues to be the most widely visited in the entire Griffin site. Additional features include an employment posting board, an online medical staff directory, and a medical staff listing complete with pictures and biographical information.
