HAMDEN -- Mist On Tanning, located inside Curves for Women in the Parkway Plaza (former Pathmark Plaza) at 1869 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden opened July 25. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Hamden Mayor Carl Amento, Community Development Director Dale Kroop and members of the Legislative Council. "Mist On Tanning involves applying sunless tanning solution to your body by combining the latest advances in sunless tanning products with state-of-the art technology," according to Curves for Women. A tanner stands in a booth and is showered by a fine mist of self-tanner. The developer of the booth promises a uniform coating, head to toe, with no streaks. The solution sprayed is made of bronzers, food coloring, a chemical called DHA and an aloe vera based moisturizer. The product is all natural.
