Obsten Makes List of Hi-Tech PR Agencies

BLOOMFIELD - Andrea Obston Marketing Communications has been named one of the nation's top high-tech public relations firms by PR Week magazine.
The PR industry trade journal published the list of the country's top 150 high-tech PR agencies in its August 12 issue. Obston, based in Bloomfield, came in at No. 136, with $400,000 in high-tech client billings in 2001 - a 33-percent increase over the firm's 2000 billings in that industry sector.
It also marks the firm as one of only 37 percent of the agencies that showed more than ten-percent growth in the technology industry last year. In fact, said PR Week, many agencies experienced big drops in revenue due to the soft economy.
Obsten's current technology clients include the Farmington-based Human Performance Technologies Corp., Pinnacle Communications and FarPoint Solutions, LLC, both of Middletown, and Continuum Performance Systems of Madison.
