Distaff Execs Convene for SOM Confab

NEW HAVEN The Yale School of Management (SOM) will assemble some of the nations leading female executives for a November 14 summit conference in New York called Leadership in Business & Society Today: A Personal View, to be moderated by SOM Dean Jeffrey E. Garten. Faculty, alumni/ae and students will convene at the Yale Club of New York for a discussion addressing the challenges and opportunities facing business leaders today.
The goal of the event is to expand the ranks of women in management and leadership roles. Scheduled participants include Pamela Carlton (Yale Law 79, SOM 80), managing director of JP Morgan Securities Inc.; Gail Harrity (SOM 82), chief operating officer of the Philadelphia Museum of Art ); Linda Mason (SOM 80), chairman and co-founder of Bright Horizons Family Solutions; Heidi Miller (Yale 79), executive vice president of strategy & development for Bank One Corp.; Nancy Pfund (SOM 82), managing director of JP Morgan H&Q; Sandra Urie (SOM 85), president and CEO of Cambridge Associates; and Laura Walker (SOM 87), president and CEO of WNYC radio in New York.
