DSL.net Ramps Up Sales Staff

NEW HAVEN DSL.net Inc. (NASDAQ: DSLN), a provider of broadband communications services to businesses, announced that it is ramping up its sales force to meet strong demand for business-class broadband access by small- and mid-sized businesses.
The increased demand for broadband, coupled with our success in controlling costs, expanding our product offerings and acquiring new lines that offer us opportunities to sell value-added services has put us in the enviable position of being able to grow our sales organization, said Ray Allieri, DSL.nets senior vice president of sales and marketing. In fact, we experienced our two strongest months of the year for sales during the summer when the industry traditionally experiences a slower sales period.
Since the beginning of August, the DSL.net sales organization has grown by 55 percent. In addition to selling directly to businesses, DSL.net also sells its services to SMBs through systems integrators and various channel marketing agreements with other national companies and organizations.
