'Tis the season to reflect, be thankful for all we are blessed with as citizens of the United States. It is also the season to remember those who need help and assistance. We hope businesses and individuals who are able will reach out to someone in need by writing a check to one of Connecticut's many non-profit organizations that rely on the kindness of strangers for their very survival. The following is a list of just some of Connecticut's many worthwhile organizations dedicated to improving life for those less fortunate.

Founded in 1983, this organization is committed to providing support services and basic needs to individuals and families infected or affected by HIV and AIDS. APNH also works to increase public awareness of HIV, promote prevention, provide education programs, advocacy and secure funding for all of these services.
