BRIDGEPORT - The Workplace Inc. has received $25,000 in scholarship funding from the Inner-City Foundation for Charity & Education in Bridgeport. The scholarships are intended for job-training and education for low-income workers. During the current program year, the WorkPlace is targeting laid-off workers who will require job-training and support services to re-enter the workplace. The privately funded job-training project augments publicly funded job training accessible through CTWorks centers in Ansonia, Bridgeport and Stamford.
