NEW HAVEN - A national day-spa company has established its headquarters in New Haven. Stonewater founder and CEO Francis X. Acunzo, a Branford native, spun a spa-acquisition company out of Sage Management & Development Group last year. Sage began buying spas in the Northeast three years ago, and today its successor company, now headquartered in the New Haven Savings Bank building, owns 13 spa facilities in New England, Atlanta, Florida, North Carolina and the Washington, D.C. metro area. In Connecticut, Stonewater owns the Spring Spa of Renewal in Greenwich.
