FAIRFIELD - William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services has joined a global network of real-estate companies as a member of RELO.
"The decision to align with the RELO network was made after analyzing current industry trends and determining that a RELO alliance was consistent with our relocation company's long-term strategy for growth," says president and CEO William Raveis.
"RELO is a well-known, well-established and well-regarded organization," he adds. "We approached RELO after carefully evaluating our current business relationships and deciding that an alliance with RELO afforded us better opportunities to grow and manage our business relationships."
RELO comprises a select group of independent brokers who have distinguished themselves in the industry in terms of growth and profitability. Members last year generated in the aggregate more than $252 billion in real estate sales. They represent nearly 700 companies, 3,500 offices and 90,000 sales professionals, relocation people in 10,000 communities throughout the U.S. and 11 foreign countries.
Also, Raveis Real Estate has launched an electronic e-Welcome Package, a kit containing savings coupons and benefits for new homebuyers and sellers.
The complimentary package contains information designed to facilitate and enhance the home-buying process. It is being sent via e-mail to new customers as well as families who have recently visited William Raveis open houses or initiated contact with the firm in other ways. Others who wish to receive the e-Welcome Package may do so by subscribing to e-mail notification (daily or weekly notice of new listings or current mortgage rates) by visiting the firm's Web site, www.raveis.com.
"Homeowners who have lived for many years in the same home, or those who have yet to purchase their first home, may be surprised at the changes in the real estate industry, and the range of home-related products and services," Raveis says.
The package offers up to $150 savings on mortgage applications, the ability to browse online among more than 25,000 Connecticut and metro New York listings, a relocation kit for out-of-state moves, a free comparative market analysis and the ability to receive updated mortgage rates that are e-mailed daily or weekly.
Raveis also offers to e-mail new listings to prospective customers and takes part in the HomeLink home sharing program.
The raveis.com Web site experienced a fourfold increase in site hits during September, up from one million hits in August. In addition, visitors are spending double the amount of time on the site as they did in past months, the company says. Raveis credits the spike to new Web site enhancements and a recent campaign to strengthen the firm's brand through corporate advertising.
