CBIA Taps NU's Morris

HARTFORD - Northeast Utilities President, Chairman and CEO Michael G. Morris has been elected chairman of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA). Morris will serve a one-year term, succeeding Kenneth L. Porter III, president of the Keeper Corp. Before joining NU in 1997, Morris was president and CEO for Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy, and president of CMS Marketing, Services & Trading. Before joining Consumers Energy in 1988, Morris was president of Colorado Interstate Gas Co. CBIA directors also elected as vice chairs John A. Klein, chairman of People's Bank, and Christopher R. Skomorowski, president and CEO of Lydall Inc. in Manchester.
