The awards program includes the following categories: Unbuilt, Architecture in the Community, Sustainable Design, Architecture: the Encompassing Art, Preservation, Residential and Built.
AIA/Connecticut's 1,200 members include licensed architects, associate architects and professional affiliates.
Twenty-six projects were recipients of awards in six categories, designated by jurors Joan Goody, FAIA, of Goody Clancy & Associates, Boston; Stanley I. Hallett, FAIA, Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.; and Pamela Loeffelman, AIA, Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, New York, N.Y. in the 2002 program.
Jurors noted the wide range of building types, styles and attitudes and the elegance of execution of the 200 submitted projects.
