HARTFORD - The Connecticut Network, just about the only source for in-depth television coverage of state government, last month launched new full-time channels on Cox Communications cable TV systems in Meriden, Manchester and Enfield. CT-N currently occupies channel 347 on Cox Digital Cable, available to some 145,000 subscribers in predominantly north-central communities but including, locally, Cheshire and Meriden. The timing of these launches could not be more fortuitous, said Patrick Sheehan, chairman of CT-N's managing partner, the Connecticut Public Affairs Network. With the state's budget crisis on everyone's mind and the difficult fiscal decisions to be made occupying government leaders, Connecticut's citizens and taxpayers have an even greater need to understand the problems and the process. The Connecticut Network is here to meet that need.
