SHELTON - PowerSmart Inc., a supplier of smart battery and charger electronics for use with all battery chemistries, including custom and standard modules with and without safety circuits, has been issued a U.S. patent (No. 6,304,062) for its SmartShunt resistance device for monitoring battery state of charge. The SmartShunt is an advanced battery monitoring and reporting sensor which is integrated onto a high-current shunt assembly. PowerSmart also offers engineering design, software and smart battery implementation services.
