WATERBURY - The Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce has recognized several area businesses and residents for outstanding efforts in the upkeep of their properties. More than 90 business and residential property owners were honored with a Beautification Award, initiated by Community Visions and now under the auspices of the chamber.
Exceptional awards were presented to Carl Rosa of the Timexpo Museum on Union Street; Phil Nargi of Circa Bistro, 92 Bank Street; and Dave Walsh, Dreschers Restaurant, 25 Leavenworth Street. The trio were singled out for their efforts to enhance their business properties.
Special Lifetime Awards were handed out to Hank Paine of the Connecticut Store, 120 Bank Street; Jim Smith, CEO of Webster Bank, 145 Bank Street; Bill Bianchi at Courtyard by Marriott, 63 Grand Street; and the management staff at Abbott Towers, North Main Street, for their continued beautification efforts around their business properties over the past six years.
