David N. Cooper has been named dean of learning at Gateway Community College in New Haven. Cooper previously served as director of workforce development, continuing education and lifelong learning at Sullivan County (N.Y.) Community College, where he developed grant-funded initiatives, distance learning and other technology-mediated programs.

Kimberly Manning of Cheshire has been promoted to senior vice president and director of strategic planning at Cronin & Co., a marketing communications agency based in Glastonbury. Manning previously was vice president and director of client services at the firm.

Carol A. Felicetta has joined the New Haven office of the Hartford law firm of Reid & Riege P.C. as a bankruptcy and solvency lawyer. Felicetta was previously with Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker of White Plains, N.Y. Prior to that she was a trial lawyer with the U.S. trustee's office in New Haven.

Rib-X Pharmaceuticals of New Haven has hired Graham Johnson as vice president of discovery. Johnson previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Wallingford.

Barbara Healy of Cheshire has been named vice president of People's Corporate University (PCU) at People's Bank in Bridgeport. The university is a learning organization within the bank that focuses on developing leadership, management and sales and service skills. Healy joined People's in 1999 as a senior training specialist in the credit card division, moved to PCU as manager of special projects in 2000 and most recently served as manager of marketing and operations for PCU.

Y. Paul Huo has been named dean of the School of Business at the University of Bridgeport. Huo was previously director of the School of Business & Public Administration at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. Huo earned a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and industrial relations from the University of California/Berkeley and a B.S. in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University.

North Havener Arthur I. Erickson has been elected president of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association. Erickson is a funeral director at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, which has facilities in Hamden, Meriden and West Haven. Erickson also serves on the board of the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Services based in Hamden and Madison.

Veteran banker Michael H. Flynn of Fairfield has been elected to the boards of Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale-New Haven Health System. Flynn is president and CEO of Associated Community Bancorp Inc. and chairman of Westport National Bank. Flynn is a graduate of Holy Cross and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Bridgeport resident John Klein, president and chief executive officer of People's Bank, has been elected chairman of the Bridgeport Hospital & Healthcare Services board of directors. Klein has been on the board since 1999.

Orange resident Mary S. Dixey has been appointed director of the Robert L. and Sara Marcy Cole Library, Rensselaer at Hartford. The Cole Library provides users with information resources and services that focus on management, business, computer science and engineering. Dixey earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and a M.L.I.S. from Simmons College. Most recently, Dixey served as content manager of OneSource Information Services Inc., in Concord, Mass.

Daniel P. Finke has been named vice president of Health Care Management for Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield's Connecticut operations. Finke will be responsible for operations in all areas of medical management, provider relations, quality management, utilization management, behavioral health and pharmacy for the company's commercial and government membership.

Richard A. Guerrini has been named vice president of marketing management for Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield's plans in Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire. Guerrini previously was vice president of sales operations for the employer services group of GE Financial Assurance in Enfield. Guerrini earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Connecticut State University and holds an MBA from the University of Hartford.

Cheshire resident Jennifer Fuoco, L.C.S.W. has been named director of child inpatient psychiatry at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven. Fuoco will be responsible for overseeing all referrals for the hospital's children's Psychiatric Emergency Services (CPES) and managing a caseload of patients, all clinical staff and program functions. Fuoco joined Saint Raphael's CPES as a psychiatric social worker in 1998 and became clinical coordinator in 2000.

The Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors has presented Connecticut Economic Resource Center (CERC) director of real estate Christopher D. Edge with a Booster & Cheerleader Award in appreciation of his support and promotion of Connecticut commercial real estate. The first-year award recognizes an individual outside the realtor ranks who has advanced the cause of commercial real estate during the year. Edge oversees CERC SiteFinder, the most comprehensive database of available commercial and industrial property in Connecticut, and manages real estate promotion projects for CERC clients.

Gail Handley has joined Bozzuto's Inc. in Cheshire as vice president of retail support. Handley will be responsible for all customer service functions at the grocery wholesale company.

Stephen E. Ronai has been named as an adjunct professor at the Quinnipiac University School of Law. Ronai is a senior partner at Murtha Cullina LLP and formerly served as chairman of the firm's Health Care Department. Ronai received his undergraduate degree from Columbia, a law degree from Yale and clerked for David N. Edelstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Ronai is listed as a health care authority in Best Lawyers in America.

SoundWaters Inc., the Stamford-based environmental education center, has named Anne Harper executive director. Harper earned a master's degree in environmental studies at Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies before becoming executive director of the New Canaan Nature Center in 1992. In 2000 Harper became president of the Connecticut Audubon Society.

Gary A. Doyon has been named group vice president of Inductotherm Group in East Haven, a unit of Inductotherm Industries in New Jersey. The Newtown resident previously was president of the Thermatool Group, another Inductotherm unit.

Corey Humpage has been appointed director of facility booking for the Hartford Civic Center's arena and exhibition center. Humpage will also be booking Rentschler Field, the new UConn football stadium. Humpage returns to Connecticut after most recently serving as director of tour marketing at Clear Channel Entertainment-Touring in Los Angeles.

Branford resident Laura Selvaggio has joined the Guilford office of H. Pearce Co., Realtors as a residential sales associate. Selvaggio received the Management Achievement Award in 2000 and Salesperson of the Year in 1998.

Sandra E. Vlock, principal of the Branford architectural firm Arbonies King Vlock, has won the 2003 Marvin Windows and Doors Recognition Program for her design for the Darien Nature Center.

Cynthia McKiernan has joined H. Pearce Co., Realtors in the Madison office as a residential sales associate. The Clinton resident is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and previously worked in the insurance banking field.
