NEW HAVEN - Connecticut's largest technology trade show, with more than 100 Connecticut technology companies, is TecXpo 2003, slated for April 10 at the Citywide Field House in New Haven. The event features emerging technology pavilions, networking and opportunities to meet with VC investors, business leaders, state legislators and university researchers.
According to Michael Theodore, president of the Connecticut Technology Council, which produces the event: "Yes, the tough times continue. But since the bubble burst in 2000, more than 100 new technology companies have started in Connecticut in software, biotech, fuel cells, nanotechnology and other high-technology areas. Thousands of jobs have been created. You'll see some of those companies, and witness their passion and energy, at TECXPO 2003."
Also to be featured at the expo: the BioBus, a popular 40-foot mobile bioscience learning center; winners of the first-ever Connecticut Technology Catalyst Awards; and an opportunity to meet angel and venture capital investors and find out what investors are looking for these days in emerging technology companies.
