| NEW HAVEN - Frank Perrotti, owner of 500 Blake Street Café in Westville, recently completed an extensive renovation to the well-known Italian eatery, which next year will celebrate its 30th anniversary. The renovations, while retaining the antique feel of the original dining rooms, will open up the existing space and bring more light into the dining areas. Also, the addition of an exposed pizza oven will tempt patrons with appetizer-sized stone pies. The banquet areas, added on in 1986, remained open during the reconstruction. The banquet rooms were renovated most recently in 1999 when 500 Blake added a large outdoor garden. The physical alterations have been accompanied by some changes to the menu. Along with the stone pizzas the new menu will feature an antipasto bar with dozens of items from which customers can create a custom plate.
